Call for Experts
Legislative Strengthening

The Parliamentary Centre, a Canadian not-for-profit, non-partisan organization devoted to improving the effectiveness of representative assemblies around the world, is working to update its expert roster. If you have expertise and experience in any of the following fields we would like to hear from you:
Areas of Expertise:

  • Parliaments’ participation in the budget process: preparation, approval, budgetary oversight;
  • Internal administrative,  financial and information technology management in parliament;
  • Human resource management in parliament;
  • Parliamentary research services;
  • Involving civil society and the broader public in parliaments’ work;
  • Officers of parliament (state audit institutions, ombudsmen);
  • Parliaments’ interaction with the media;
  • Legislative process and legislative drafting;
  • Gender and parliaments (gender budgeting, women parliamentarians).       

Regions and counties of potential assignments could include (but may not be limited to):  

Asia: Cambodia, Mongolia, Pakistan
Africa: Benin, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia
Latin America and the Caribbean: all counties

Candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply. Proficiency in English and/or French is required, other languages are an asset. 

Following a screening of all CVs received, the Parliamentary Centre will contact successful candidates for interviews and reference checks after which they may be considered for inclusion in the expert roster.
